Born in Mozambique, in the city of Lourenço Marques in 1956, Milú Petersen went around the world building and celebrating art. She lived in Denmark where she studied the Impressionists in Skagen, holding courses and exhibitions in Paris, New York and Lisbon.
She moved to Brazil in 1988, but precisely in Rio de Janeiro, and today he lives in the coastal city of Cabo Frio where he produces his art and exposes his thoughts. Impressionism and Fauvism are the basis of Milú Petersen when developing his art.
Recording life in the pages of a book
The literary work “Vida e Obra” brings a personal and intimate look at Milú Petersen’s trajectory through his works of art and moments of his personal life. Its release is scheduled for February 2022.
Although based in Cabo Frio, Milu has canvasses exhibited in galleries in some European countries, such as Italy, Spain, Portugal and France.
Women always very well dressed, bicycles, fruits, flowers and chairs figure in most of his acrylic painted canvases. The light theme, the pure colors, the cheerful tones and the well-shaped volumes draw attention and refer to Fauvism, an artistic trend derived from Impressionism.
